Excellent customer service response time. However in the years that I have been using their services 1&1 HAS NEVER BEEN ABLE TO CORRECT THE PROBLEMS WITH ME BEING ABLE TO UPDATE MY WEBSITE using their automated website tools. It sometimes takes 2 hours to do ten minutes work, while I figure out workarounds to change the font sizes, styles and paragraphs and often I give up and they never get corrected even with a call in to them.

1AND1 has a good response time for tech support on the phone. Never waited more than a minute and they really work 24/7. Whichis nice. The problem starts when you have none-standard questions. I registered international domain where whois information was unavailable and 1AND1 had trouble adding it to my plan. While one tech support guy was willing to help - another one announced right of the bat that they do not support it. I had to give a teaching lessons over the phone to guide the guy. Over the email I had 50/50 response rate on my questions. Often no one responded at all. 1AND1 control panel has full set of features but kind of slow in response time and has very short session expiry timeout which is a hassle to deal with. The do not support one-letter domains. I think it's their artifical script limitation somewhere, as the domain name is legitimate. But I never was able to get hold of person who can fix that. Over the month I accumulated enough unresolved issues at 1AND1 to start moving my hosting needs elsewhere. Yet if you have basic hosting need for couple of .COM sites - there shouldn't be a problem, as 1AND1 is well suitable to dealing with basic hosting needs.

I love these guys. I havn't had any problems. I am saving a lot of money on my domain names - was paying $15 ea for 10, now paying only $5.99 ea. My needs are relatively unsophisticated, and for others like me, I will ABSOLUTELY reommend 1&1.

I purchased the business pack with 3 domains. I was up in running in less than 2 hours. Their control panel is one of the best that I have ever used. I paid with a secured credit card so the odds of me getting screwed are nil. I’m about to refer 5 0f my friends to them because I believe them to be that dam good. Teklords

Terrible service. I've been openly told they have no idea why I can't ftp in, although it takes them awhile to believe me and test it themselves. Always quick to email to say "it's fixed" but they never test it first, so it's rarely fixed for days. You get what you pay for.

I`ve used 1and1 for over a year and am very happy. I`ve never not been able to access my site and support always follows up with an email to make sure I`m satisfied. I didn`t know what I was doing when I first started but with their set-up wizards and design templates I had my site up in no time. The only drawback is I can`t type html directly onto the page, I have to copy and paste the image and then attach the link. There`s no hidden fees, some hosts charge extra for domain name registration or private registration (if you don`t want your name and address listed in the whois directory). You can sample a 1and1 web page at estar-information.com

Before you sign up for them make sure that you don't sign-up for any kind of contracts or promotions. After first 3 months service becomes very disappointing and you may not cancell service untill end of term so you have to pay for service that sucks big time. Attempt to cancell your agreament will take you another three days and when you thing that it is over your nightmare then begins. Just stay away from them and you will be fine. Response time very pure. Billing departmant nightmare.

The next generation of HTML, the language that specifies exactly how text and images will be displayed on a web page. Dynamic HTML, developed by Netscape and the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), is based entirely on industry-standard HTML and Java. New features in Dynamic HTML, such as absolute positioning, give designers and developers greater control over the look and feel of web pages.
